As part of our network management, Mother monitors our clients backups. This is important because without your backups, you lose all data. The vast majority of companies who think their backups are just fine are mistaken. Backups are really easy to mess up, which is why it's important to monitor them.

Early on a Tuesday morning, our early morning engineer saw the backups for our largest client failed because the external/backup drive ran out of space. The engineer moved the data folders from that full drive to another device. Problem solved. The engineer checked to make sure the backups were running normally and notified the client.

Fixing a backup problem is often very simple. Recovering from losing your backups - not so easy!
